LL-37 is a piece of a natural immune protein your skin and lungs make. It's part of the body's first-line defense against bacteria.

It's studied in immune-defense and wound-barrier research. Researchers look at how the body fights bacteria, calms inflammation, and helps wounds form a protective barrier.

Lab tests confirmed rapid bacterial killing. Some wound-healing effects appear in cell studies; human benefit is not established.
