Cagrilintide

Cagrilintide is a lab-made version of amylin, a hormone your pancreas releases alongside insulin after a meal. It's designed to signal fullness through a different pathway than GLP-1 drugs.

It's being studied as part of combination approaches to weight management. Researchers look at how amylin-based and GLP-1-based fullness signals might work together.

Early trials suggested added weight loss when cagrilintide was paired with semaglutide. These are preliminary findings, not approved results.
